For garbage disposal in West TN, ECM of Ridgely, LLC is a fully permitted Class 1 Landfill (permit #SNL66-000-0276), the second largest permitted landfill in the State of Tennessee, with more than 22,000,000 cubic yards of airspace available.

The landfill accepts:
  • Domestic, putrescible waste, including Municipal Solid Waste, household garbage and trash derived from single and multi-family residences, hotels and motels, bunkhouses, ranger stations, crew quarters, campgrounds, picnic grounds, and day-use recreational areas. This also includes residential waste, commercial trash and waste and junk.
  • Construction and demolition debris wastes, consisting of construction, remodeling, repair and demolition of structures and from road building. Such wastes include, but not limited to bricks, concrete and other masonry materials, soil, rock and lumber, road spoils, and paving material.
  • Industrial wastes, which is solid waste produced in, or generated by, industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Bulky waste, such as ovens, stoves and even refrigerators and air-conditioning units if the compressors have been properly removed prior to disposal.
  • Landscaping and land clearing wastes, meaning trees, stumps, brush, dirt, branches, leaves, grass clippings from landscaping and land clearing activities.
  • Tires (see “Tire Disposal”).
  • Special Wastes, defined as solid wastes that are either difficult or dangerous to manage and may include sludges, bulky wastes, pesticide wastes, medical wastes, industrial wastes and friable asbestos wastes approved and manifested through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).
